Chicago, October 1, 2025 — One of the greatest mysteries in world history is about to be finally solved. It was scientifically proven in 2024, in the study Columbus versus Colón, that Christopher Columbus (actually, Cristóbal Colón) was not the humble Genoese weaver described in school textbooks.
“The reader will not find here a guessing game, or the rejection of inconvenient sources, or unfounded deductions. It is demonstrated, through a systematic analysis of all available documentation, that Cristóbal Colón was not born in a family of Genoese weavers. Two things are clear in this study, and both deny the traditional version of history: Colón did not belong to the family of Genoese weavers, and he was born a nobleman. Colón was not only a nobleman, but he was born into aristocracy.” — Professor João Paulo Oliveira e Costa
Now, an even more surprising revelation comes to light: Columbus was a Portuguese prince, born in Madeira under the name Segismundo Henriques, and the legitimate son of King Ladislaus III of Poland.
The result of 35 years of meticulous research that challenges centuries of official legend, Manuel Rosa, PhD in Insular and Atlantic History (15th–20th centuries) and regarded as the world’s leading expert on Columbus’s life, presents new discoveries — including documents forged in Italy with the purpose of usurping the navigator’s identity.
Author of the book Portugal e o Segredo de Colombo, Dr. Rosa researched archives throughout Europe, gathering unpublished documents, forgotten evidence, and ignored clues — and used DNA to rewrite the life of the world’s most famous navigator.
Two 15th-century manuscripts, recently rediscovered and analyzed, constitute the conclusive evidence that ends this historical debate.
Details will be publicly revealed on October 4, 2025, in Chicago, USA, during an international conference: POLISH-LITHUANIAN COLUMBUS: End to an Italian Deception and Fraud
The event is free open to the public and the press. More information available at: www.ManuelRosa.net.
This milestone represents a radical turning point in the understanding of Columbus’s life, the pseudonym he used in Spain, the secrecy surrounding his genealogy in European courts, and his role in assisting Portugal within the context of the great and long project of the Discoveries. The implications are profound: not only do they refute the Genoese narrative, but they also raise serious questions about the political and nationalist motivations that have shaped the official history for over five centuries.
The world may not yet be ready to meet the true Christopher Columbus, but his history has already changed!
